Mary Palmer formed Marimu Designs in 2006 as a spin-off from a successful textile arts supply business.

Mary has been involved in the textile art and quilting scene in Cork for over 30 years and has exhibited modern and traditional works both at home and abroad.

She has served on numerous Boards and committees, including the Design and Craft Council Ireland, and Cork Craft and Design. She is one of the

founders of the cross border initiative, Quilters Guild of Ireland, as well as the contemporary textile art group Cork Textiles Network. In 2009, Mary was certified as a quilt judge through the Quilters Guild of the British Isles. Mary is currently the chair of Showcase Ireland.

Marimu Quilts provides a wide range of services, including a selection of quilting products, longarm quilting, teaching, lecturing, judging and custom designed quilts through a consultative design process. Gallery pieces are also often available for sale.
